Looking around somewhat anxiously, Lacey sighed. For some reason, this was not what she thought I'd be like. Living as a loner her whole life, Lacey had never thought about actually being somewhere that she 'belonged' in. Somehow, she pictured this going differently. Oh well. Her golden-brown eyes scanned her surroundings once more, as if she were waiting for someone - or something - to just pop up and introduce themselves. Her big brown ears, which appeared to be preposterously too un-proportioned for her head, turned to catch the best sounds. However, all she could pick up on were scattered voices of her clanmates, which she was somewhat surprised to figure out that they were mostly felines with the acceptation of a few other species, all taking amongst themselves about 'blood this' and 'battle that'. Though Lacey did like to fight, she wondered if she'd ever fit in amongst the varied killers and well-trained fighters.

Sooooo....I just decided to have Lacey (my new doggeh) join this Clan. I figured I'd spare you all of the details about the 'Hi! I want to join your Clan!' crap, but I don't want her to jump in as a stranger.

"I'm Lacey," she tried to seem calm to cover up the inner terror, "and no, we haven't met. I'm actually quite new here, as I assume you've already figured out."

So, I'm sure positive that ya figured out I'm new to this Clan. *points to post=3* Therefore...this charri needs new threads in order to be involved in the Clan and not just a bump on the side of a log or a wart on a frog or any other odd metaphor that nobody really understands yet you seem to like it.
What I'll do-
-Friends
-Enemies
-Relationships
(AW how sweet. Meh.)
-Injury (That would heal, of course)
-Some kind of capture doo-dilly...? (< advanced vocabulary right there)
What I won't do-
-Killing or major, un-curable injury. Duh.
-Other crap that I can't think of at this moment of low muse...

Yeah sure. Thanks for actually replying. I though this character would have to die before she ever lived!

Having been on a walk, the wild dog approached Ariella with a strange look on her face. "What are you doing here?" She asked curiously, scanning the territory with her golden-brown eyes.

Walking along the sand like she did every day, a strange scent filled the air and there was a strange cold silence in her heart. It was a scent she'd sniffed before, not too long ago. Who it was, she couldn't tell. But was it important? Most definitely. "Hello? Anyone out there?" She called, running at full speed with her long and lanky legs. Finally, a small black shape entered her field of vision. "What's wrong?" She asked, approaching the hole and the small kit. Seeing the creature in the hole, her jaw dropped. "Is-is that yours?" Lacey asked.

Nodding to each of them, Lacey turned to Wellingtonboots. "Twolegs? Hm. I don't think I was named for a shoe tie, but it could very well be possible." The wild dog grinned, her white canine teeth bright against her dark fur.
OOC-
She isn't a hyena. She is an African Wild dog. Ignore my corrections. I'm too factual on occasion.

"I have no clue." She admitted rather shyly, her large ears seeming to fold down. Who didn't even know what their own name meant?

"Wow. This certainly is a large Clan! Are all of the others this big?" She asked. Living alone her whole life, the amount of creatures in this one area was quite overwhelming.

She could relate to this feeling. This fear of being left. "I'll do my best to help you. However, we need to be positive neither of us will get trapped along with...Kasa was it?" She explained, stretching her neck to see into the hole. It was quite deep and she wasn't a climber, but she had to do something or the poor little animal woul die. And the kit's heart would shatter. "I'll go in." She decided, taking a step back and inhaling a large amount of air. Shutting her eyes, she had an idea. "Actually, if we can find a large stick or a bone, I suppose, I may be able to reach her without going in." Lacey explained.

"So I guess I'm the only one like me?" She asked somewhat disappointed, her brown eyes sad.

Coming up behind him, Lacey grabbed the stick. "Go watch your pet," she said rather loudly, as her jaw was clamped around the stick. Pulling it towards the large hole, she dropped it and took a well-deserved deep breath. Then, with her teeth still clenched around the stick, she began to lower it into the hole. It seemed to be long enough, as it hovered about 2 or 3 inches from the bottom of the hole. "How are you going to get her to climb up the stick?" Lacey sighed, her voice sounding odd considering she couldn't move her mouth.

"Teddy!" Lacey called, dropping the stick and shuffling on her paws. Making a split decision that would either kill them or save their lives, she jumped in after him. Not being a feline, she hit the ground quite hard and struggled to stand. But, luckily, she got to her feet and began to run after him. "You can't just run off!" she screamed, panting. With eyes narrowed in concentration and ears back in fear, the wild dog continued to chase after him.

"PLEASE slow down!" Lacey called to him. Finding an unknown burst of speed, the dog was almost caught up with the tired little cat. "I know you want your pet back, but you're going to hurt yourself if you keep this up!" she shouted, her voice echoing in the tunnel.

Panting quite a bit, Lacey laid on the sandy tunnel floor. She was breathing quite roughly having run so much. "I'm really sorry about your pet. I'll do my best to help you find her." She said, trying to sound at least somewhat comforting.

"Well normally I'd suggest to leave the way we came, but that isn't going to happen. Maybe we should just keep walking. We'll either get out or run into a dead end. Chances are Kasa will be there too." Lacey suggested, trying to be brave in the dim light.
